Caroline is one of the Co-founders of Prop Box and has over 15 years experience working in Marketing for Swatch Watches and other Blue Chip companies. Prop Box was a vision that she shared with her co-founders of bringing professional standard, affordable drama and theatre opportunities for young people within a family like community! She also makes a good cuppa!
In 2016 Prop Box was established with the aim of promoting individualism, confidence & creativity, whilst offering young people a chance to rehearse in a professional environment, with expert tuition, helping them to develop their performing skills. We offer a wide range of performance opportunities for boys and girls in a fun, educational supportive environment.
We welcome children from diverse backgrounds and try our best to be as inclusive as possible. We have a team of experienced tutors and trainee performing arts tutors who are always learning and developing their professional skills and expertise to bring our members the very best experiences we can….and if we don’t have those skills in-house for a particular show – we will bring in experienced industry professionals to ensure we offer the highest quality teaching for every production we undertake, allowing our members to perform to the very best of their age and abilities with like minded peers.
We also actively encourage a mentoring culture at Prop Box where older members buddy up with some of our younger less confident members to help them through their performing journey. It is a real privilege to watch our members grow and develop in confidence and learn vital life skills such as team work, commitment and dedication – all crucial in the ‘real world’
We meet every Friday evening at Hilldene Centre, West End (not The West End – yet!) from 6pm-9pm.
We are a production-based group, which means everything we do leads to a production in a professional theatre with an audience of family and friends to watch you perform!
We’ve performed shows such as Aladdin, Disney’s Camp Rock, as well as Mamma Mia inspired musical-in-a-week summer holiday workshop!
